Busam Subaru Loves to Learn Effort Benefitting Queen City Book Bank - Natalie H
For more than a decade, Busam Subaru has proudly supported and partnered with the Queen City Book Bank and Literacy Network, working together to strengthen literacy and expand access to books throughout the Greater Cincinnati community. Since 1986, the Literacy Network has championed literacy development by connecting children and adults with the programs and resources they need to become stronger readers and create greater opportunities for their futures. This mission closely aligns with Busam Subaru's longstanding commitment to supporting local families, education, and the community it has called home for generations. Over the past year, Busam Subaru has continued that commitment by collecting books and donations for the Queen City Book Bank. A Little Free Library is proudly displayed inside the Busam Subaru showroom, giving customers, employees, friends, and families an opportunity to donate books and help share the joy of reading with others. Through this effort, hundreds of books, along with additional donations, have been collected to benefit the Queen City Book Bank and the families it serves. The relationship between Busam Subaru and the Queen City Book Bank extends far beyond a single campaign. It is a longstanding partnership built upon a shared belief that literacy can strengthen individuals, families, and entire communities. Queen City Book Bank CEO Michelle Guenther reflected on the significance of that partnership: "We are grateful to John Busam and the entire team from Busam Subaru of Cincinnati for selecting Queen City Book Bank as this year's Share the Love Hometown Beneficiary for the 9th year in a row. The campaign was a remarkable success, generating $27,115! This brings the nine-year total to more than $240,000 in support of QCBB's literacy programs! Busam Subaru also hosts one of QCBB's 250 Little Free Libraries in its showroom, sparking a love of reading and sharing our mission with visiting children and families. Busam Subaru Love Story: Supporting Mercy Health Fairfield At Busam Subaru, the Subaru Love Promise is about more than giving back—it is about supporting the people and organizations that make a difference right here in our community. Busam Subaru is proud to continue our longstanding support of the patients, employees, and families at Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital. Through the Subaru Love Promise, our team has had the opportunity to provide blankets and care items to Mercy Health for years, helping bring an extra level of comfort to patients during some of life's most difficult moments. This summer, the Busam Subaru team delivered multiple boxes of care items to Mercy Health Fairfield, including Subaru blankets, pillows, socks, water bottles, games, and other items for patients and their families to enjoy. Located just a few miles from our dealership, Mercy Health Fairfield is not only a valued community organization, but also a neighbor we are incredibly proud to support. Busam Subaru Celebrates Arbor Day Through Subaru Loves the Earth Initiative This spring, Busam Subaru proudly participated in the Subaru Loves the Earth® initiative in celebration of Arbor Day, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and community sustainability. As part of the program, customers who purchased a new Subaru vehicle were offered a complimentary, regionally appropriate tree to plant and enjoy for years to come while supporting the health of local ecosystems. "Arbor Day is always a special time of year for us," said Natalie McDonald, Marketing Manager at Busam Subaru. "We are proud to provide our customers with a tree that can last a lifetime while making a positive impact on our local environment and community." Through this initiative, Busam Subaru successfully distributed more than 100 trees, helping to promote reforestation efforts and environmental awareness throughout the region. The dealership remains committed to supporting programs that encourage sustainability and strengthen the communities it serves.

Busam Subaru was honored to make another donation to Hope's Closet, a local nonprofit supported by a dedicated community of volunteers, donors, staff, and board members who believe every child deserves a hopeful childhood—regardless of circumstance. The organization provides essential items, enriching experiences, and compassionate support to children in foster care and their families. As part of this effort, Busam Subaru proudly donated several boxes of much-needed shoes. The impact of this contribution was significant. Bridgett Risk, Community Relations Manager at Hope's Closet, shared: "We offer new and gently used clothes and other essentials to kids in foster care, but we especially value the opportunity to provide brand-new shoes. While secondhand clothing can feel like new, even gently used shoes often do not—particularly athletic shoes. Receiving colorful, new gym shoes through Subaru Loves to Help truly enhances the experience for the children we serve. We are grateful for this partnership and for the continued support of our mission." Busam Subaru is proud to continue supporting the patients, employees, and families at Mercy Health Hospital in Fairfield, Ohio. Through the Subaru Love Promise Campaign, Busam Subaru has provided blankets and care packages to Mercy Health for years. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Fairfield, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Busam Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Busam Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/16/2025, Busam Subaru donated 120 shoes/socks to Hope's Closet. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

Customers, friends, families, and employees have been encouraged to donate to the cause and the results were amazing. Through this charitable program, Busam Subaru has collected hundreds of books and several donations for Queen City Book Bank. The relationship between Busam Subaru and Queen City Book Bank is strong and historical. The Queen City Book Bank CEO, Michelle Guenther, spoke some special words about the partnership, "Busam Subaru continues to be an exceptional ambassador of our mission! Not only have they selected Queen City Book Bank (formerly the Literacy Network) as their “Share the Love” hometown beneficiary for the past eight years, they advance our mission each and every day by stewarding one of our 235 Little Free Libraries. We are grateful that Busam Subaru is a true partner in our efforts to enhance book access and elevate literacy as a community priority!" The Little Free Library is one of the most successful programs that improves individuals' reading achievements by access to books. Since its implementation in 2018, the Queen City Book Bank and Busam Subaru have worked with partners throughout the Greater Cincinnati community to place over 200 Little Free Libraries, with growth continuing! Busam Subaru Charitable Contribution to Meals on Wheels - Natalie H
Through the Subaru Love Promise Campaign, through 2025 Busam Subaru was able to donate over hundreds of meals and volunteer hours to the Meals on Wheels Butler County organization. Since 2008 Busam Subaru has donated over 4.5 million meals to the program and spent countless hours delivering meals or helping at the Meals on Wheels facility. The crew at Meals on Wheels stated the following sentiment of gratitude, "Thank you to Busam Subaru of Cincinnati, Subaru of America, Inc., and Meals on Wheels America for another successful Share the Love Event! We are honored and appreciate the continued support for our own Meals on Wheels department here in Southern Butler County. Thank you, again, for helping us help the older adults in our community!" Through March, several Busam Subaru employees helped drop off meals to dozens of homes of the elderly in need in the area. "Working with Meals on Wheels Butler County since 2008 has been a pleasure and honor," States Busam Subaru Marketing Manager Natalie Hansman. We are so proud that the Busam Subaru Love Promise initiative can help the organization do the critical work that they do. We look forward to helping them again next year!" Proceeds from every new Subaru sold at Busam Subaru were donated to Meals on Wheels. In the past three months, Busam Subaru has donated to several other charitable programs, including Hopes Closet, the Sharonville Police Department, and North College Hill Middle School.

Hope's Closet is a local non-profit community of volunteers, donors, staff, and board members who believe childhood should be hopeful, regardless of circumstance. The organization works to provide quality essentials, fun experiences, and loving support for foster children and foster parents. Busam Subaru was proud to provide Hope's Closet with several boxes of much-needed shoes. The impact was great for the organization, to speak to that, the Hope's Closet Community Relations Manager, Bridgett Risk stated, "We are so grateful for the shoe donation from Busam Subaru to our boutique!
