Busam Subaru Teams Up to Support Local Community - Shellee B
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Fairfield, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Busam Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Busam Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/16/2025, Busam Subaru donated 120 shoes/socks to Hope's Closet. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
Busam Subaru Book Bank Collection Benefiting Queen City Book Bank - Natalie H
For over a decade Busam Subaru has supported and partnered with the Queen City Book Bank and Literacy Network in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since 1986, the Literacy Network has championed literacy development in the Greater Cincinnati community by connecting children and adults with the programs and resources they need to become strong readers and powerfully advance their lives. For the last year Busam Subaru has collected books and donations for the Queen City Book Bank. Busam Subaru proudly displays a little free library box of donated books in the showroom. Customers, friends, families, and employees have been encouraged to donate to the cause and the results were amazing. Through this charitable program, Busam Subaru has collected hundreds of books and several donations for Queen City Book Bank. The relationship between Busam Subaru and Queen City Book Bank is strong and historical. The Queen City Book Bank CEO, Michelle Guenther, spoke some special words about the partnership, "Busam Subaru continues to be an exceptional ambassador of our mission! Not only have they selected Queen City Book Bank (formerly the Literacy Network) as their “Share the Love” hometown beneficiary for the past eight years, they advance our mission each and every day by stewarding one of our 235 Little Free Libraries. We are grateful that Busam Subaru is a true partner in our efforts to enhance book access and elevate literacy as a community priority!" The Little Free Library is one of the most successful programs that improves individuals' reading achievements by access to books. Since its implementation in 2018, the Queen City Book Bank and Busam Subaru have worked with partners throughout the Greater Cincinnati community to place over 200 Little Free Libraries, with growth continuing! Busam Subaru Charitable Contribution to Meals on Wheels - Natalie H
Through the Subaru Love Promise Campaign, through 2025 Busam Subaru was able to donate over hundreds of meals and volunteer hours to the Meals on Wheels Butler County organization. Since 2008 Busam Subaru has donated over 4.5 million meals to the program and spent countless hours delivering meals or helping at the Meals on Wheels facility. The crew at Meals on Wheels stated the following sentiment of gratitude, "Thank you to Busam Subaru of Cincinnati, Subaru of America, Inc., and Meals on Wheels America for another successful Share the Love Event! We are honored and appreciate the continued support for our own Meals on Wheels department here in Southern Butler County. Thank you, again, for helping us help the older adults in our community!" Through March, several Busam Subaru employees helped drop off meals to dozens of homes of the elderly in need in the area. "Working with Meals on Wheels Butler County since 2008 has been a pleasure and honor," States Busam Subaru Marketing Manager Natalie Hansman. We are so proud that the Busam Subaru Love Promise initiative can help the organization do the critical work that they do. We look forward to helping them again next year!" Proceeds from every new Subaru sold at Busam Subaru were donated to Meals on Wheels. In the past three months, Busam Subaru has donated to several other charitable programs, including Hopes Closet, the Sharonville Police Department, and North College Hill Middle School.
Busam Subaru Donation to Hope's Closet - Natalie H
Through Winter, Busam Subaru was honored to donate to Hope's Closet. Hope's Closet is a local non-profit community of volunteers, donors, staff, and board members who believe childhood should be hopeful, regardless of circumstance. The organization works to provide quality essentials, fun experiences, and loving support for foster children and foster parents. Busam Subaru was proud to provide Hope's Closet with several boxes of much-needed shoes. The impact was great for the organization, to speak to that, the Hope's Closet Community Relations Manager, Bridgett Risk stated, "We are so grateful for the shoe donation from Busam Subaru to our boutique! Last year we shared nearly 3,500 pairs of shoes with local children in foster care, so your contribution will help fill an ongoing need. We offer a mix of new and gently used shoes, but the kids are always excited when they get to choose a brand-new pair!" Busam Subaru and Hope's Closet are grateful to the Subaru Love Campaign for making this amazing donation. Through this cause, hundreds of children will be provided with safe and comfortable shoes.
Sharonville Police Department Celebrates Shop with a Cop, Presented by Busam Subaru - Natalie H
Through the Holiday season, Busam Subaru in Fairfield, Ohio, was proud to partner with our entire Busam dealership group to sponsor and participate in the Sharonville Police Department's Annual Shop With A Cop event. Every year, the SPD hosts a group of local disadvantaged students to spend a day with their hero community police officers. Each child's family was given large bags of food, hygiene products, easy-to-prepare meals, blankets, and winter clothing. Many of the students and their families heavily depended on the school system to provide kids' meals throughout the week, so while they were on winter break, the program's generosity was greatly needed. After a great breakfast provided by a local restaurant partner, the students were taken to a local store to 'Shop with a Cop!" After shopping, all of the students were treated to a pizza lunch party that included gift wrapping, crafts, games, and a visit from Santa. The Sharonville Police Department Community Resource Officer, Aaron Hayes said, "This event is funded completely by generous local businesses and community members. Because of local businesses and community members and their donations, the Sharonville Police Department has been fortunate enough to have this event for over 20 years. Busam has been a long-time supporter of this event and is one of our most dependable donors. All of us here at Sharonville Police Department are extremely grateful for the donations and support from all of you at Busam!!" This event is deeply cherished by the officers as it allows us not only to do good for children in the community but to also build relationships with these kids and their families. This past year, the SPD was able to take 30 children out for the day.
Busam Subaru Loves Learning: North College Hill Middle School Meaningful Donation - Natalie H
Busam Subaru is greatly inspired by the numerous causes contributed to by the Subaru Loves Learning Campaign and is committed to contributing to the efforts. To ring in Thanksgiving, Busam Subaru was thrilled to supply a local, low-income Middle School with hundreds of school supplies. Before school closed for Fall Break, the Busam Subaru team was able to drop off Subaru Love Loves Learning packages at North College Hill Middle School. Each package contained dozens of valuable school supplies that included pens, markers, pencils, dry-erase items, post-it notes, headphones, and several special stress-relieving games. North College Hill Middle School Principal, Matthew Morris excitedly stated, "Busam Subaru's generous donation is helping us to create better learning environments for our students and teachers. Their commitment to education is making a lasting impact, ensuring that every student has the tools they need to succeed and thrive. North College Hill Middle School would like to say thank you." The team at Busam Subaru was equally delighted to provide the inspiring community of North College Hill Middle School with the Subaru Loves Learning Donation. "The smiles and appreciation that the staff had on their faces said it all," said Natalie Hansman-McDonald, Marketing Manager at Busam Subaru, "Subaru's passion for helping those in need is very inspiring and Busam Subaru is overjoyed to help facilitate this mission. Education is the core of any community, and Busam Subaru believes students deserve an equal opportunity for a quality education." Education contributes to society by unlocking individuals' potential and driving positive societal change. Education can change lives, but some families or districts can not always afford basic supplies for learning. Busam Subaru Hosts Animal Humane Society for Pet Adoption Event! - Natalie M
Busam Subaru is so proud to present a new Subaru Love Story! In October Busam Subaru partnered with the local animal shelter, Animal Friends Humane Society, in Hamilton, Ohio to host a special pet adoption event. This is the third year that Busam Subaru hosted this event. The event consisted of the Animal Friends Humane Society bringing their donation van full of beautiful dogs available for adoption. Busam Subaru is in an ideal area for this project. Located directly on Dixie Highway in Fairfield, Ohio, the dealership is easily accessible to thousands of viewers bringing great interest to the event every year. Both Busam Subaru and the Animal Friends Humane Society were excited about the event and the awareness that it would bring to the local animal shelter and their needs. Megan Poffenbarger, the Media Coordinator for Animal Friends Humane Society, spoke these kind words about the event, "The Animal Friends Humane Society loves partnering with Busam Subaru because we have been able to witness a ton of great stories and experiences through the program!" There have been dozens of animals adopted through the Busam Subaru Love Animals Adoption event, and the organization looks forward to many more in the future. As a proud adoptive parent of a cat, Natalie McDonald, the Marketing Manager for Busam Subaru, states, "At Busam Subaru it is our ongoing mission to support our local charities, and the Animal Friends Humane Society, is at the top of that list! We are so grateful for their partnership and everything that they do for our local animals in need." Both organizations are thrilled with the progress and potential of their collaboration and look forward to more adoption events shortly. Busam Subaru held this event as part of its participation in the Subaru Share the Love Program, which has enabled thousands of dealerships worldwide to give back to their communities in huge ways. Busam Subaru Love Story: Mercy Health Blanket Donation - Natalie M
Busam Subaru is proud to have been able to provide patients at Mercy Health-Fairfield Hospital with blankets and care packages. Busam Subaru dropped off ten boxes of special Subaru soft blankets and several boxes full of Subaru Loves to Care products for the amazing patients at Mercy Fairfield. Busam Subaru is located just a few miles from the Mercy Health Fairfield facility, so we were thrilled to be able to donate to an organization in need that was close to the dealership! These donations were specifically for the Leukemia and Lymphoma patients within the hospital through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Partnering with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society was an honor for Busam Subaru. "It was an amazing experience to provide donations for the patients at Mercy Health Fairfield for a second year in a row. As a family-owned organization, Busam Subaru strives to help families that are in need as it is a core of our business to help others." Says Natalie McDonald, Busam Subaru Marketing, "The Subaru Love campaign provides some of our proudest charitable accomplishments and we are thrilled that we were able to help LLS and Mercy Hospital Fairfield through the Subaru Love campaign." LLS representative Emily Kwanpiniowski also had some special words to say about the project, "We’re so incredibly grateful to be working with Busam again this year to deliver the blankets to Mercy Fairfield. LLS is honored to work year after year with a partner who values patients and their families just as much as we do! The impact of these blankets is clear from the reaction of the hospital staff and the patients, they love them! It is so unfortunate the awful impact that cancer has on the lives of so many so to be able to provide a sense of comfort alongside Subaru with these blankets to patients means so much. Together with amazing partners like Busam Subaru, we are getting closer to a world without blood cancer." Busam Subaru Cincinnati Operation Warm Donation to Hopes Closet - Natalie H
As part of Subaru's Operation Warm Program, Busam Subaru was proud to donate dozens of boxes of coats to Hope's Closet. Hope's Closet is a local community of volunteers, donors, staff, and board members who passionately believe childhood should be hopeful, regardless of circumstances. They work together to provide quality clothes and essentials, fun experiences, and loving support for foster children and foster parents. Mark Phair, the Executive Director at Hope's Closet, said this about Busam Subaru's generous donation, "At Hope's Closet, we have to be prepared to meet the material needs of every foster child who enters our doors-from infancy through 18 years old age and beyond. This requires us to have a large inventory of items in a variety of sizes, fits, and styles available at all times. Providing high-quality, comfortable winter coats for these young people is one of our largest priorities every year. The coats we received from Subaru's Operation Warm are an incredible blessing and ensure that we will be able to meet the needs of foster youth, keeping them comfortable and safe from the elements through the winter months." Busam Subaru is thankful that we were able to make a difference for our youth in need this winter season. Operation Warm is a great project, and we are thrilled that Busam Subaru was able to participate generously for our local community!
